Starting August each year, the drums starting rolling for the start of the film festivals in Delhi. In September, five film festivals were organized simultaneously in one week, and this annual celebration of cinema in Delhi continues well into December. Even as Indian filmmakers attend film fests abroad and gain recognition there in greater numbers - the latest being Talvar, which was screened at the Toronto Film Festival - film fests in the capital also screen only classics or the best and also most inaccessible movies.
